A couple of weeks ago, I worked on my first shoot at Rekon. It was an interview with former Chicago lead singer Peter Cetera who was interviewed by ,his daughter, Claire Cetera. Overall it was a great experience and watching everything being put together for a “simple” two person interview was very interesting.
On set, I helped set up the catering table and lights. Working the catering table, I realized how expensive a vegetable platter was and don’t get me started on the price of hummus. Eating on a college budget really puts the price of food into perspective. Seeing how many lights we used and the placement of them was very interesting. At some points, I took the opportunity to stand back and observe because I had reached my limit of trying to act like I knew what I was doing.
The interview itself was very entertaining and informative. It gave a behind the scenes look at the music/entertainment industry during the late 60s to early 2000s. Interestingly enough most things haven’t changed. The interview began with Cetera’s early career and then ended with what current projects. Needless to say he is as busy as when he started.
Overall, working on the interview was a great experience and I cant wait for everyone to see the final product.
