ACT ONE: Exposition

Lindsay Lanzillotta, an iced tea drinking Canadian that thrives on cheering everyone on, is currently Director of Business Strategy at ReKon Productions.  As DBS, Lindsay is responsible for the growth of ReKon, and the company’s expansion across its other divisions of creative development, distribution & sales, and post-production.  With her extensive experience and contacts in the industry, she forms new partnerships with talented filmmakers and established financiers and studios.

Lindsay also produces. Notable producing projects include Shari and Lamb Chop (2023), Ginormo (2023) and Shayda (2023).  

Lanzillotta holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film from the University of Western Ontario.

ACT TWO: Origin Story

Lindsay started as an independent producer focused on supporting filmmakers and discovering new talent. Over the years she has produced many films of note including The Vicious Kind (starring Adam Scott, Brittany Snow, and J.K. Simmons), critically acclaimed psychological thriller The Invitation, and co-produced the comedic feature Spin Me Around in collaboration with Limelight and Duplass Brothers Productions. She is also Co-Founder and Co-Head of Film of The 51 Fund, a fund that finances independent films directed, written and or produced by women while she continues to develop various projects with her partner Deniz at Brave Jayne Films with emerging and established independent filmmakers.

ACT THREE: Meet-Cute

In 2017, Lesley Lopez (COO) stumbled upon a Ted Talk video on Women in Film given by Naomi McDongall Jones, co-founder of 51 Fund.  Connecting with the message and mission, Lesley reached out to the 51 Fund and connected with their Los Angeles partner Lindsay.  They arranged to meet at a ‘fancy’ Starbucks in mid-town, and by the end of their two-hour coffee chat, they were friends for life.  Over the years that followed they continued to find ways to work together, eventually resulting in Lindsay joining ReKon in 2021.
