Join us on set with Tori Adams as she assists the Art Department in creating stunning visuals.Last weekend I was welcomed onto the set of the short sci-fi film Susie Sunshine as a production assistant. The short takes place in a future, where women use their personalized skill sets to produce the city with energy.
Overall, I spent a lot of time assisting the Art Department. As an Art PA, I helped set up interior posters, pillars for the train station and other decorations used on set. I was pretty excited to be an Art PA because crafting is one of my favorite hobbies.
I was challenged with the task to finish building a tree that would become a decoration for the train station set. Many fake leaves and pieces of Styrofoam later and I was left with a tree that Jane Jetson would want in her own home.
