ReKon Intern

September 24, 2014

Asia Pacific Arts, an online magazine covering Asian and Asian American entertainment, received the inside scoop on A Leading Man. Covering everything from the inspiration for the film to its performances, the interview also notes how USC Cinematic Arts graduate, Stephen J. Kung, has created a masterpiece that works toward a post-racial Hollywood.

“After refusing to play a racist pidgin Chinese character on the set of fictional TV show, Pu Pu Platter, GQ Chi puts his acting talent and good looks into seducing powerful industry women in an attempt to gain professional advantages. Indeed, A Leading Man excels in examining Hollywood’s hidden, discriminatory practices without victimizing its Asian American protagonist.”

A Leading Man will be playing in Los Angeles for one week only at the Laemmle Music Hall 3 in Beverly Hills.
